In particular, the NCJMM does not compete with the Nursing Process or specific pedagogical models around the teaching of clinical judgment. Rather, it provides a systematic, evidence-based framework for measuring whether nurse licensure candidates demonstrate at least minimal competence with respect to clinical judgment and decision making.
