It is a Nursys e-Notify requirement that when you are enrolling a license on your Nurse List, the work address confirms that the individual license has authorization to work/practice in that state (i.e. the state where the client/patient is located at the time of practice/care.).
This includes even when enrolling licenses for a nurse where a specific work address is not a defined physical location including but not limited to:
- travel nursing, home health, telehealth
- not working for your organization in that state, but you still want to monitor the license.
Options, if you don't know what to use as the work address:
- If you have any office/facility in that state, then you can use that address
- You can use any placeholder address within the state. If possible, use an address that is near where the largest number of patients might be located.
