The passing standard for the NCLEX-RN reflect the amount of nursing ability currently required to practice competently at the entry level. Because nursing practice changes over time, the NCSBN Board of Directors reevaluates the passing standards every three years when the test plans are reviewed.
The NCSBN Board of Directors (BOD) voted to uphold the passing standard of 0.00 logits for the NCLEX-RN Examination through March 31, 2026.
A logit is defined as a unit of measurement to report relative differences between candidate ability estimates and item difficulties.
